I had a lovely stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and modern. The breakfast was basic but decent for a free offering. Great location, too—easy walk to nearby shops and dining. Just wish the pillows were more comfortable!

A Wonderful Stay in Newcastle
During my recent trip to Newcastle, I was particularly eager to visit the Newcastle Art Gallery, renowned for its impressive collection of Australian art. I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn purely for its ideal location nearby. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and really good service. One highlight was enjoying a drink at the hotel café after a day of exploration—it was the perfect way to unwind. The breakfast provided was good, featuring fresh options that fueled my day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay.
Parking could be a challenge.

Easy check-in, the staff helped us with baggage. We ate at a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. There was a spotless bathroom with a shower, hairdryers and bath sheets.
Didn’t dislike anything about the property.

The welcoming staff, including Ben and Chelsea, made check-in a breeze. Our immaculate room had Chromecast, allowing for family movie nights, and the free parking was a huge plus. While breakfast was modest, it sufficed for our needs. Close to landmarks like the Maritime Centre and Newcastle Civic Park, we enjoyed lovely family bonding time exploring the area. it was an excellent family stay!

I had a great Christmas stay! The location was perfect, super close to shopping and dining options, which made holiday shopping a breeze. The staff were very nice—always friendly and ready to help! My room was cozy and clean, and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety, even though I wish there were more fruit options. I also loved the secure parking; no hassle at all driving in!
The scrambled eggs at breakfast could use some improvement—they were a bit off. the bathroom layout wasn't ideal; it felt a little cramped. Plus, finding the hotel entrance was tricky with no clear signage, so I walked past it a couple of times. Overall though, still a great experience!

The housekeeping was really disappointing; my room wasn't made up some days, and they didn't change the sheets at all during my stay. Plus, the mugs weren't even washed, which felt pretty gross after a week.

I was genuinely surprised by the fantastic value for money, especially given the spacious, comfy room with modern amenities.
Breakfast delights could benefit from a few more hot options.
